What are shock waves?

This therapy involves transcutaneous application of acoustic waves which causes ‘mechanotransduction’ at a cellular level. This results in stimulation of cell proliferation, migration and alteration in pain pathways, increased neovasculization and osteo-progenitor differentiation.
